Recommended Materials for Your Landscape's Retaining Wall

VERSA-LOK

VERSA-LOK has been creating "Solid Solutions" for architects, engineers, contractors, and homeowners since 1987, and offers a lifetime warranty on materials. Here's an overview of the four main styles we use:

Standard VERSA-LOK: Most of our retaining walls are built with standard, solid VERSA-LOK blocks. A professional from the US Army corps of engineer designed this block to be especially sturdy. At 85 pounds, this heavy-duty block is stronger than most and can be split to fit angled spaces and borders. Blended color options area available.

Cobble VERSA-LOK:About half the size of the Standard unit, Cobble units are perfect for planters, small walls and garden-variety projects as well as large, expansive commercial and governmental walls. Smaller and conveniently lighter than its big brother Standard unit, a Cobble unit possesses durable characteristics equal to units twice its weight.

Accent VERSA-LOK: A slimmed-down version of the Standard unit, Accent units measure 4 inches tall by 12 inches wide. They're lighter than Standard units, but engineered with the same high-strength, low-absorption concrete.

VERSA-LOK Mosaic System: Create eye-catching designs by combining all three VERSA-LOK units to form the random-patterned Mosaic Retaining Wall System. Attractive and durable, the Mosaic system utilizes the same four-unit panel (10" x 24") consisting of one Standard, one Cobble and two Accent units€"giving each wall a vintage look and feel.

Unilock

Unilock blocks are a higher-end block that offers rich colors, textures for endless versatility, so they're perfect for freestanding courtyard walls, fire pits, small retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, steps and columns. They're more expensive than VERSA-LOK blocks.
